A sad day for three girls.

Sunday night I logged onto the computer to check an email from my parents. My brother in law shot himself in the head Saturday, June 13, in the evening and died before arriving at the hospital. He left behind many family and friends including, my sister, and their two daughters, Mia and Natalee. The youngest, Natalee, being not even two. Now she will never personally know her father. Life will be sad and lonely for them for some time. They are surrounded with the love of their families and friends. They are in my heart, thoughts, and prayers.

A day with my love.

Sébastien was in Nice for work the time Léa and I spent in St Raphael. He came to visit on Mother's Day. We left Léa with his parents and went out for the afternoon.
I like the greenery on this building.
The tallest building in St Raphael.
I like this picture.
St Raphael
A different view.
Another view.
What beautiful water! In the distant right there is Le Lion de Mer.
Gotta love the palm trees.
From Frejus (left) to St Raphael.
Port St Raphael
I enjoy this scene.
Le Leon de Terre.
L'isle d'Or.
A little something from the WWII timeframe.

The stay away from home.

So the end of May (I think into) into the first two weeks in June Léa and I staid with Sébastien's parents. It was really nice for them to have the time with their granddaughter.
Playing with a her toys.
Taking a nap in a lap.
Seb's Aunt.
It was interesting to watch her with this toy. She was going through some development while we were in St Raphael. By the time we left she could reach up and get the toys.
Here is the bottle holding proof.
Sometimes she tried to roll around and the toy would trap her.
This month she really started to discover her feet and toys too.
On our way back to Goncelin we stopped to see a few sights. These reminded Seb of Turkey.
A castle fort on a hill.
She finally got the mouth to the toe.
Looking past Papa at something in the distance.

Last days in May.

Léa started to watch her hand as she moved it. Learning that she has control of all these body parts. Léa started to eat a little baby food, fruits. The following are just an assortment of pictures the end of May.
She was wrestling with the pillow.
A picnic at a lake close by. She fell asleep in Papa's arms.
She just woke.
 Our street.
Nap time.
Some apricot evidence.
Some of the neighborhood.
Along the walk.
The leaving the town sign.
At the end of the sidewalk.
It was hot there.

Chartreuse.

Sébastien wanted to visit the monastery in the Chartreuse mountains. It is well known in the area. I enjoy the mountain scenery and it sounded interesting to me as well.
Gorgeous blue skies made it a wonderful day out.
 I enjoy pictures of churches.
Inside the museum.
A monk's desk.
A wooden statue.
Some art.
On the way out. I love stained glass.
 Just before the exit.
This was at the end of two rows of benches lined by a canopy of trees.
And the sun just right.
And of course some of us.
Me and the baby girl.
The Papa and the baby girl.
A short rest.
And one more family shot.
