Papa's puppet show.

Sébastien likes to play with Léa in her room. This evening they were having a puppet show. She watched for a second.
Then she had to see who was behind all of this.
Do moose bite?
Well, they sing at least.
That chicken said something she needed to discuss.
The moose really had her attention.
The end.

Likes to stand anywhere and everywhere.

We were out for a walk in Parc Josaphat. She woke from her nap and I decided to take her out of the stroller. She decided to stand up on the park bench and do some side stepping. These were taken October 22.
Yes she is a cutie.
And she stands so well now.
Hey you with the camera.
I am going to get you.
Haha.
She likes to rock and sway while she is holding onto to something. I am not sure what she was doing here.
When we were back home she played with some of the hand puppets a bit. Well, chewed on them and threw them on the floor.
A chicken, a moose and a pig.
Here is the chicken.

The fun one can have with carpet.

I enjoy watching Léa play. She is always exploring and discovers new things everyday. Today she found some fun with the carpet in our bedroom. She usual plays with the baby in the mirror, but the carpet got her attention this time. These were taken October 21.
A still shot of her grabbing the edge of the carpet.
And some action.
When she was finished with the carpet. She was side stepping around the bed. I like the smile on her face in this one.
I just like catching her close up. Such pretty bright brown eyes. Shining little stars.

the rest of the trip.

We finished at Dover castle and were off to Canterbury. The cathedral in Canterbury is one of the oldest and most famous Christian structures in England. Also known as the Mother Church of the Anglican Communion and seat of the Archbishop of Canterbury.
Some of the city.
The city entrance to the cathedral.
The detail always fascinates me.
The Cathedral.
Again just fascinating. Such detail in stone.
Queen Bertha.
Magnificent.
So many things I learned about in Art class at the university.
I like the movement in this one.

Going on the Eurotunnel...

Sunday, October 11, Sébastien's work set up a tour to Dover and Canterbury in the United Kingdom. We were on a bus and took the Eurotunnel. There are basically big train like compartments that buses pull into to ride over to the other side. There are also some for cars I think. You cannot really see out at much, but it is really interesting to think about being under water.
A bus pulling in.
One of the Eurotunnel trains.
The passport checks to the Eurotunnel took some time, so we were running a little behind schedule. We arrived in Dover at the castle in time for the first group to take there guided tour of the Secret Wartime Tunnels. We were part of the second group. We had time to wander around the castle and take pictures.
Walking up to the castle.
So grand.
A picture Seb took. I like the lighting.
A little view of the medieval time.
A guest room...what small people back then. I thought it was the children's room.
A nice banquet hall.
Back outside.
Such great views.
Cheese.
They are both so cute.
More of the castle and grounds.
Figure I needed to show the British flag.
We did not catapult anyone over the wall...
Seb liked this view showing how much space the wall and castle took.
And I just really like this sort of picture.
So medieval.
And this is the last shot as we were being called to get on the bus. The group needed to get to the next stop.

Expo 58.

The World Exposition. It was held here in Brussels in 1958. Similar to Le Tour de Eiffle the structure built in 58 was suppose to be deconstructed, but was so popular it has remained. This large atom has even appeared in well known comics. We have visited it several times since being in Belgium. This day we went inside of it. There is a restaurant, but it was reserved for a group that day. We did not know that until we were at the top. It was disappointing not to eat there, but the view was spectacular!
Some original posters.
A model of the Expo.
Going up.
She looks a bit worried.
The family.
Show and tell.
Maybe it is what he was pointing at.
Waiting for the elevator to the top.
Mini Europe to the right.
The large building behind the water is where they hold expositions and things.
Huh?
More show and tell.
Greenery and fountain.
View 1.
I liked the 50s little model chairs.
More display stuff.
With the sun.
Looking up.
Big cheese.
Without sun...the clouds come quickly here.
